Zach and I planned a special trip for Laney this Christmas Eve (more on that later), so we moved our usual evening with Mammy and Woody up to a lunchtime event. Laney pulled out her favorite little black dress (can't get this dress away from her -- she loves it!) for the occasion.

Emme is one!

I can't believe my sweet Emmeline is ONE! Her birthday party was the same day as graduation at work, which I have to attend/photograph, but Aubrey was so sweet and held up the cake-smashing for me... not that Emme was super-impressed by cake.

Anyway, Mom and Woody headed up early with Laney so she got to enjoy the whole party. It was great seeing the new house all fixed up and decoratd, and it was also great seeing some church folk and some of Aubrey's extended family that we hadn't seen in a while... I feel like they are my family, too. :) Enjoy the pics.
